Dr. Saxman received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Washington and earned a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. 

She completed her internship at the University of Puget Sound where her training included special emphasis on eating disorders, trauma recovery, and coming-out issues. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, individuals, and couples.

She is licensed by the State of Washington, and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
